Venecia Chávez Medina studied Physics and Mathematics at the UMSNH in Mexico, from where she also received her master’s degree with honors after a short research internship at The University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Her bachelor’s thesis consisted on a numerical solution to the reaction-diffusion equation applied to the analysis of the evolution of brain tumors, while her master’s thesis was 'An Implementation of the Lattice Boltzmann Method for the Analysis of Capillary Waves in Confined Geometries'.
