MPIDS shows the flags
Since the day before the Marches for Science on April 22, the 65 flags hanging in the MPIDS represent all nations of the origins of the scientists and employees at the institute.
“Science is international and don’t know borders”, pointed out Eberhard Bodenschatz, who initiated the idea. “Science is full of flags and we as Physicists are cosmopolitan and open-minded. For him, Physics is a prime example for empirical science, where theories are either confirmed by experiments, modified adequately or disproved and rejected. For these considerations scientific exchange, which are free and full of rational arguments, is mandatory.
