Prof. Rocklöv lab is developing epidemiological models to shed-light on the role of climate and cli-mate change on the dynamics and emergence of infectious diseases. His lab is developing models for 3 different purposes:

1. Deeper insights into the role of climate on the disease dynamics;
2. better predictive models for risk assessment and climate adaptation;
3. more timely preparedness and outbreak management based on outbreak early warnings.

Prof. Rocklöv is a new Alexander von Humboldt professor at Heidelberg University. He has been engaged in the Lancet countdown on climate change and health for many years, he has contributed to the IPCC and WHO reports, and he is the PI of a new large Horizon Europe project – IDAlert – on infectious disease, climate change and the green transitions.
