Demand responsive ride pooling (DRRP) could contribute significantly to the transition towards sustainable mobility. In theoretical models of DRRP systems though, the influence of the street network is not well understood. In my thesis, we followed two approaches of street network characterization. The first approach is modelling the traffic space by a two-dimensional space with effective curvature. In practice, the curvature assignment proved to be ambiguous. As a second approach, we measured volume growth in street networks and connected it to the distribution of customer waiting times. After rescaling by a time scale derived from the network and request patterns, the mean waiting time shows a universal dependence on demand and supply. The shape of the waiting time distribution however seems to depend on the dimensionality, modularity, and degree of hierarchy in the street network.
