Seminar über aktuelle Fragen zur Dynamik komplexer Fluide: Chlamydomonas gliding motility, comparison of cognitive and mechanistic modeling

Gliding motility in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii cells produces interesting dynamics and phenomena such as clustering. To determine whether these are related to a cognitive process or result from purely mechanistic dynamics we construct two different simulation models based on experimental findings. One model is a minimalistic mechanistic model based on a tug of war between the flagella; the second approach is a cognitive model based on the causal entropic force. In this talk we compare the results of both simulation models and the experimental findings.
