Talk: Tripartite information as a measure of scrambling

Scrambling, the delocalization of information under unitary quantum dynamics, is understood to be a distinct feature of quantum chaos. So far the focus has been on out-of-time-order correlators to analyze this behavior. I use a different approach and study the negative tripartite information in spin-1/2 chains, which was proposed by Hosur et al.
 as an information theoretical measure of scrambling. In my talk I will focus on results I obtained for a Hamiltonian that can be mapped to free fermions and a generic model where chaotic behavior is expected. I will introduce a symmetry-adapted Haar scrambling limit to explain the asymptotic behavior as well as the values of scrambling we find.
