Minerva-FemmeNet is a program/network for all female scientists of the MPG. One of the pillars of this program is a mentoring scheme. More than 400 mentors from research and industry make themselves available on a voluntary basis and support and advise mentees on issues such as career planning, balancing research and family life etc.
Other promotional programs of the MPG include the Sign Up! Careerbuilding Program, the Elisabeth Schiemann Kolleg (for female researchers in chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science and technical disciplines), the Christiane Nüsslein Volhard Foundation (for female researchers in the experimental natural sciences who are raising children) and the Lise Meitner Excellence Program.
Anke will also talk about general offers for doctoral students/postdocs, for example the possibility for postdocs to apply for career and/or executive coaching sessions. Anke is based at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory in Frankfurt am Main, although her networking activities take place throughout (almost) all Max Planck Institutes. This event is intended for both female and male scientists.
